R."On the most fashionable piece to invest this season with respect to the shade, designer duo Baani Sachdev and Nikita Jain of brand E. Colours can be loud whereas nudes are a soft  China Custom Polyester fabric whisper — a sexy and elegant whisper. Designers Paras and Shalini of Geisha Designs share, "This season, the past is relooked at with an honest eye. On people with darker skin tones, these tend to look dull and eventually unattractive. Nude allows a woman to wear her dress instead of the dress wearing her." "Go for chanderi, as it is an all season fabric that you must always have in your closet," Ankur and Priyanka Modi suggest on the fabric front. There are a total of 12 colours that comprise the colour wheel: three primary colours, three secondary colours and six tertiary colours and these are considered to be the ultimate guide to understanding colour combinations.A. These are basically colours what work in the West and only people with similar skin orientation should attempt wearing these. Opposite colours are complementary but must be muted one tone whereas pairing them at full strength can create conflict. It’s very elegant.

We Indians have a wide range of skin tones and colours like camel or sand generally complement people with fair complexion. conclude, "It would be a draped skirt or dhoti pants in muted palette. There is nothing on a woman more beautiful than having her wear her essence or skin tone. However, we’re in a place in fashion where women want to express their own unique selves. What’s most appealing about the shade is that it’s really easy to mix and match it with any other colour.". So, go for it if you are confident enough. The volume and romance (in a garment) is given a hint of freshness with nude tonal colour palette.Dresses in barely-there hues are proving a hit on and off the catwalk, offering an elegant and feminine alternative to this season’s ‘pop’ coloursA little darker than champagne, lighter than sand or perhaps an amalgam of both with a beautiful hint of blush and peach — nude is the fashion colour du jour. An easy add to the wardrobe, the shade of toasted almond, cream, apricot, beige, tan, cream pink or caramel shade, whatever you call it, reminds us of the sunny weather, sun-kissed skin and soft sand, according to style gurus." On the other hand, designer duo Ankur and Priyanka Modi of AM:PM reveal, "Nudes are a group of elegant shades but there are a lot of specific shades in nudes as well. Adjacent colours are somewhat similar and can be easily paired. Flesh coloured tones in soft lacy delicate embroideries, vintage Victorian styles can pep up your look.Z. These can be styled in various ways and have options to get a maximised dramatic impact."About combining the shade with different hues to create contrasting colour wheel, Vandy Mehrra of SBJ elaborates, "In order to understand how harmony between various colours can work, take a look at the colour wheel. So, you can apply this rule to pair any ensemble. It’s also an extremely breathable fabric. They add, "Since it’s a silk-based fabric, it always has a rich sheen to it. Besides that, silk organzas, nets, lace and tulles work well with this look, too. We can break down the nude spectrum into five categories — whites, pinks, yellows, beiges and browns — and offer more than 30 narrowed-down names including porcelain, tawny beige and toasted golden brown. This array of essence colours is very individual

Bokja Design in Beirut has taken Central Asian and Middle Eastern apparel textiles and upholstered furniture, Folk Project in Guatemala has done the same, and we should too.Sanju Rao, the founder and creative director of Sihasn — an e-commerce company that is taking Indian fabrics beyond apparel and using it as upholstery on furniture, speaks about the whole concept, the fabrics’ sensible attributes and also the recently launched Kanjeevaram themed collection. Are these fabrics durable and strong in comparison with the usual ones like leather? No fabric exists in the world that does not wear out. They infuse contemporary modern interiors with vibrancy, and motifs and materials that are timeless and classic. That being said, it is important for all upholstery fabric to resist wear-and-tear at least for 10 years and our upholstery fabric does. In fact, they enhance contemporary interiors.. Only synthetic leather and plastic-based fabrics are durable and ever-lasting and they are easily the ugliest fabric options. American companies like Anthropologie are upholstering barstools  polyester stretchwith Indian Ikat fabric and actor, Robert Redford, buys sarees from India, upholsters chairs and sells them at premium prices in the US.How do you think the traditional fabrics meld with contemporary choice of interiors?Absolutely. It’s like getting your car or air conditioner serviced.

From a hygiene perspective, it is very important to use slipcovers and reupholster furniture every 5 to 7 years at least. It was a good way to present to people how it is possible to use an heirloom saree as upholstery especially if you never plan to wear it but still want to enjoy it in some way. Otherwise you invite all kinds of bugs and bacteria. Even leather wears out and, in fact, leather can be a pain to maintain. We should use our own apparel textiles and capitalise on this opportunity. Furniture is the same. To celebrate this heritage so unique to Tamil Nadu, we decided to upholster a lounge chair with a Kanjeevaram when we launched our retail tie-up with Cape Kamoryn, a luxury boutique, in Chennai. Being an alumnus of The University of Chicago and The London School of Economics, she has combined her passion for economics and design by starting this company that curates fabricas from all over the country for its long-standing traditions, culture and stories it brings with it — from the foothills of Nagaland to the salt floors of Kutch! How did you come up with the idea of using apparel fabrics for furniture? The greys and beiges of typical upholstery are so bland and boring. The brocade weaving technique, the designs, and the motifs are all unique to the weaving town of Kanchipuram.Talk about the new Kanjeevaram themed collectionThe Kanjeevaram saree is synonymous with Tamil Nadu

"—Source: eurekalert.A milestone for wearable electronicsclothes that receive and transmit digital information are closer to reality.Researchers, who are working to develop wearable electronics, have reached a milestone: They are able to embroider circuits into fabric with 0.With this advance, the Ohio State University researchers have taken the next step toward the design of functional textiles —clothes that gather, store, or transmit digital information. "We believe that functional textiles are an enabling technology for communications and sensing — and one day even medical applications like imaging and health monitoring."We started with a technology that is very well known--W NYLON STRETCH Suppliers machine embroidery — and we asked, how can we functionalise embroidered shapes  How do we make them transmit signals at useful frequencies, like for cell phones or health sensors " Volakis said.org. The idea is to make brain implants, which are under development to treat conditions from epilepsy to addiction, more comfortable by eliminating the need for external wiring on the patient’s body.In Volakis’ lab, the functional textiles, also called "e-textiles," are created in part on a typical tabletop sewing machine — the kind that fabric artisans and hobbyists might have at home.

With new patents pending, they published the new results in the journal IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters. With further development, the technology could lead to shirts that act as antennas for your smart phone or tablet, workout clothes that monitor your fitness level, sports equipment that monitors athletes’ performance, a bandage that tells your doctor how well the tissue beneath it is healing — or even a flexible fabric cap that senses activity in the brain.1 mm precision — the perfect size to integrate electronic components such as sensors and computer memory devices into clothing."A revolution is happening in the textile industry," said Volakis, who is also the Roy & Lois Chope Chair Professor of Electrical Engineering at Ohio State. That last item is one that John Volakis, director of the ElectroScience Laboratory at Ohio State, and research scientist Asimina Kiourti are investigating. The researchers substitute the thread with fine silver metal wires that, once embroidered, feel the same as traditional thread to the touch. Like other modern sewing machines, it embroiders thread into fabric automatically based on a pattern loaded via a computer file. "Now, for the first time, we’ve achieved the accuracy of printed metal circuit boards, so our new goal is to take advantage of the precision to incorporate receivers and other electronic components."Recently, he and Kiourti refined their patented fabrication method to create prototype wearables at a fraction of the cost and in half the time as they could only two years ago
